eSIM or physical SIM card?

Both give you the same plan and the same number. The difference is how the SIM gets to your phone.

eSIM: fastest

  • Delivered as a QR code by email, usually within 15 to 30 minutes during store hours.
  • There’s nothing to ship or lose: scan the code and you’re connected.
  • Needs an unlocked, eSIM-capable phone (most iPhones since the XS, recent Pixels and Galaxys).
  • Keep your old SIM in the phone too, if your phone supports dual SIM.
How to install an eSIM

Physical SIM: works in any unlocked phone

  • A classic SIM card, shipped by USPS Ground Advantage.
  • Works in older phones and phones without eSIM.
  • Activated on the delivery date or when you text us the SIM number, never before.
  • Easy to move between phones.

How activation works

Every line is activated by our team on your order, in your name and ZIP code. We never sell pre-activated SIMs.

  1. 1. Choose your plan

    Pick a carrier and plan, eSIM or physical SIM, your ZIP code, and whether you want a new number or to keep yours.

  2. 2. Tell us about your phone

    Enter your IMEI (dial *#06#) so we can check it’s unlocked and compatible. For eSIM we also need your EID.

  3. 3. Pay securely

    Checkout is encrypted. For your protection we limit lines per customer and may ask for ID on number transfers.

  4. 4. A real person activates it

    Our team activates your line in your name and ZIP in the carrier’s dealer system, usually within 15 to 30 minutes during store hours.

  5. 5. Get your SIM or eSIM

    eSIM: your QR code arrives by email. Physical SIM: shipped by USPS Ground Advantage and switched on when it arrives.

  6. 6. Stay connected

    You get your number, account PIN and a link to refill online, plus a reminder before your plan renews.

Delivery times

eSIM

Usually 15 to 30 minutes during store hours (Mon–Sat 8am–7pm, Sun Closed, Eastern time). After hours, first thing when we open.

Physical SIM

Ships by USPS Ground Advantage, usually 2 to 5 business days, with tracking sent by email. We activate it when it arrives.

Bring your own phone

Your phone must be unlocked and compatible with the carrier’s network. Dial *#06# to find your IMEI; we check it before activating.

Prepaid SIM card & eSIM FAQ

It’s a prepaid SIM card that’s ready to use as soon as you put it in your phone. Instead of activating it yourself, our team activates the line for you in your name and ZIP code, with the plan you picked. We never sell SIMs that were activated in advance under someone else’s details.

Yes, for carriers that support it. A prepaid eSIM is delivered as a QR code by email, so there’s nothing to wait for in the mail. Your phone needs to be unlocked and eSIM-capable (most iPhones from the XS onward and many recent Android phones).

eSIM orders placed during store hours are usually activated within 15 to 30 minutes. Orders placed after hours are activated first thing when we open. Physical SIM cards ship by USPS Ground Advantage, usually in 2 to 5 business days, and are activated on the delivery date or when you text us the SIM number.

Yes. Choose “Keep my current number” at checkout and enter the transfer details from your current carrier in our encrypted form. For your security we never ask for your account number or transfer PIN over WhatsApp, text or email.

Your phone needs to be unlocked and compatible with the carrier’s network. You enter your IMEI at checkout and we check it before activating. If you’re unsure, read our device compatibility guide or send us your IMEI on WhatsApp first.

Every line is registered to a name and ZIP code. The ZIP also decides your area code when you get a new number. Use the ZIP where you live or where you’ll mostly use the phone.
